10/10/13The three videos I viewed were "Get the math in music", "What pi sounds like" and then I also played a math game. I liked viewing these because one of my favorite subjects are math and I knew that I would enjoy something dealing with math. Additionally I love music and when I saw math and music combined I just knew I'd love it. Those two combinations combined are perfect! I would recommend these to a friend. If they enjoy either music or math then they'd find these videos very interesting and/or the game very interesting. I could use these in my personal life because when I grow up one of the careers I was looking forward to is teaching math, and I could use these games and videos to show to my students.10/9/13Social bookmarking is basically bookmarking, or saving a website and then putting on a social bookmarking page for others to view it.Delicious: You can determine how delicious, or popular a book is by looking at how many times it was bookmarked.Reddit: Keeps up with the latest developments, the new things and the popular things.Stumbleupon: Sites that you randomly or accidentally come upon.Diigo: Mainly used for research capabilities.Digg: This site is dedicated to social news, latest stories, photos, and websites.Newsvine: When stories are shared, they are voted on how good they are, to determine there place on the website.

These are the ones not used in the list above.
  1. iCyte - Similar to Diigo w/ the ability to annotate and then share or embed into a site.
  2. Rooh.It - A great way to highlight content on the web and then share w/ others and add comments!
  3. Trailmeme - An innovative site w/ a beautiful user interface for annotating web content and generating a unique user interface/path to follow.
  4. Jog the Web - Similar to Trailmeme and very user friendly (nice Web 2.0 jogs to follow!!).
  5. Pinboard - A very simple site to bookmark w/out all of the clutter that some of the more popular sites have. Also, works well w/ mobile devices!!
  6. School Noodle - A great way for teachers to bookmarks sites and then share these resources w/ other educators!!
  7. Krunchd - A nice way to take a collection of sites and create one unique URL for all of them.

The first verdict stated that multitasking with Facebook is a bad idea. Honestly I agree with this verdict. If I decided to get on Facebook and do my homework at the same time, I think I would give more attention to Facebook. Then, I'd be so caught up on it that time would go by so fast and then I wouldn't get any work done.
The second verdict said to get on Facebook to get involved, and get off Facebook to make money. This verdict is also agreeable, because lots of people post different events they're sponsoring on Facebook. But, when your off of Facebook your more focused on work/ your job, and work gets you money.
The third verdict I would have to disagree with. I don't think social media alone is lonely. Social media is what YOU make it. But as the verdict mentioned getting involved does make social media more interesting.
I agree with the fourth verdict. Just like some people are addicted to cigarettes, some teenagers are addicted to the internet. If you don't keep up with the latest news it just seems like your missing out.I would also have to agree with the fifth verdict. The more people are on Facebook the more you have confident in yourself. It's true those "Facebook Diva's" are the ones always touching up on their Facebook the most. Facebook also helps those who are a little shy express themselves. For the sixth verdict I'd also have to agree with. The more time people spend on Facebook the less time they have to spend studying. So by staying off of Facebook it gives you more time to study.

BANNED BOOKSAfter looking through the list of banned books I was really suprised at the number of books that were banned, but one even more shocking thing was the fact that I've read some of the books. Some of the books include "To kill a mockingbird" by Harper Lee, " Of mice and men" by John Steinback, and "The adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain. These books suprised me because i thought they were all good books. Then i realized they all have something in common. All of the books in some type of way have something to do with racism and/or slavery. A lot of people want to forget the past, and never repeat it again so when books are written about it they don't really like their kids to engage it in. In my opinion i don't think these books should've been banned because even though they do touch up on racism and/or slavery it's part of history, something thats going to be there until we die. So we should learn about now, because at one time or another were going to have to deal with it.

9/3/13Primary education became a requirement for people after 1775. The pleasure in being human isn't being stupid but being less stupid together! School exist for the benefit of others because children grow up and invent things that make other people lives easier.
